Recent Concerts …

Every year, we perform our very popular Christmas concert, as well as singing carols at charity events.
Below is a list of other concerts we have given in the last few years:


4th May

Choral Classics, including John Ireland’s “These Things Shall Be” and pieces by Bainton, Handel, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Fauré and Parry.


28th April

John Rutter’s Mass of the Children, Duruflé’s Requiem, Fauré’s Cantique de Jean Racine and a selection from Chanson des Roses by Morten Lauridsen. Soloists were Emma Morwood and Alex Otterburn with organist Joseph Beech and The Edinburgh Players.


13th May

Handel’s “Israel in Egypt”. The choir was accompanied by the Edinburgh Players with soloists Emma Versteeg and Florence Russell, soprano, Catherine Backhouse, contralto, Stuart Mitchell, tenor and Phil Gault and Hugh Hillyard Parker, bass. St Cuthbert’s Parish Church.


30th April

Vaughan Williams “Dona Nobis Pacem” and Dvořák’s “Te Deum”. Other works by Haydn, Kalinnikoff, Rachmaninoff and Parry. This was our final concert under the baton of Walter Thomson. The choir was accompanied by the Edinburgh Players with soloists Susan McNaught, soprano and Benjamin Ellis, baritone. St Cuthbert’s Parish Church.
